The Keelridge product

One operating layer for agency performance and daily review.

Keelridge connects financial and Book evidence for owners, focused work for account teams, and agency-operated data refreshes. It works alongside your AMS and accounting system rather than replacing either one.

The job

Turn disconnected reports into a repeatable operating review.

The AMS describes the current Book. Accounting records financial activity during a period. Staff track renewals, new business, and follow-up in their own working routines.

Keelridge preserves those different sources and gives each role a useful view of the same agency.

Run the work

My Book gives each account manager a focused workspace.

Review upcoming renewals, material premium changes, follow-up state, rounding candidates, and personal trends in the approved Book scope. Owners retain the agency-wide view; policy and service work returns to the AMS.

Keep it current and trustworthy

The agency can operate the refresh after setup.

  • Upload when reports are ready.Agency staff can submit supported AMS Book and accounting reports at any time; monthly is a common review rhythm, not a product limit.
  • Validate before publishing.Keelridge checks file type, period, shape, freshness, mappings, and exceptions before a person confirms the update.
  • Keep access bounded.Owners, managers, and account managers use approved role scopes rather than one shared dashboard.
  • Keep the assistant read-only.The analytic assistant can explain authorized metrics and link to the owning view; it cannot change records or answer from uploaded documents.

Product questions

Useful boundaries before a conversation.

What should an independent insurance agency measure every month?

A monthly operating review usually needs to answer three questions: what changed financially, what moved in the book of business, and where attention belongs next. In practice that means booked revenue and expenses against plan, annual premium with client and premium retention, renewal load for the coming period, and any concentration or exception that crosses an owner-review threshold.

What is a book-to-GL reconciliation?

It compares trailing-twelve-month booked GL P&C commission with the Book's earning power averaged over those same months, then separates growth from that average to earning power today. The remaining signed amount stays labeled Timing & unexplained unless supporting records establish a narrower cause.

What are Big "I" Best Practices benchmarks?

The Big "I" and Reagan Consulting publish a paid study of high-performing independent agencies, organized by agency revenue tier. Its public overview describes benchmarks for growth, profitability, productivity, financial stability, and other operating measures. The study is not a default source that Keelridge silently applies: any agency comparison must identify its actual source, peer tier, definition, and period.

Does an agency owner need a data warehouse for this?

No. The current path uses the recurring reports an agency already produces from its AMS and accounting system. The work is in mapping, validating, and comparing those sources consistently each month, not in moving the agency onto new infrastructure.
